Thank You for this beautiful sounding record/transfer! RIP Buddhadev Das Gupta. (Though I must admit a big reason why I am downloading this is for the sublime tabla accompaniment by the legendary Mahapurush Misra! :-)
Thanks for this very nice post, Tawfiq. I did not know of Buddhadev Das Gupta prior to hearing this LP. I love the sarod and am always happy to hear a new and unfamiliar maestro on the beautiful instrument. Cheers, Mike
Thank you Tawfiq, for posting this recording...I have many of his Cds and cassettes but was not aware of this only LP....I thank you in advance to listening to it...The last time I saw him, he was very frail, and his son and a third sarod player helped him to and from the stage, but there were still some very special music emanating from his soul to his fingertips even then...Bless you

Rest in Peace.... Great Sarodiya who kept the Seni Shahjahanpur tradition alive for such a long time.
