Dhyanesh Khan (1942-1990) - Master of the Sarod - LP published in Germany in 1978

The only commercial recording by the late second son of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. I saw him live in Düsseldorf, Germany, probably the same year this LP was recorded.

  1. To admin; apparently A-drive has been blocked by "google safe" due to containing harmful malware on the server downloadwww.31.adrive.com. In other-words I cannot download this album. Thank you for for your wonderful blog. I'm able to find many treasures here I would not be able to find.

    Sincerely.

  2. This is me again,
    I have an idea:

Whoy not everybody who follows this blog opens a MEGA account ?
And uploads what he/she has just downloaded to the MEGA account again, and
posts this in the comments of the respective post.

Tafiq, as you probably read the comments,
then you can add the MEGA download link to the post.
This would help you, and spare your time and safen the posts.

Therefore only one person would have to upload again for all others.
I think this a perfect solution.

I´ll upload something tomorrow or so and let you know.

    Regards
    Tas, T

  6. Thank you very much for the alternate download link. ADrive seams to work properly at the moment. A little over 500 downloads of this post already.

  12. I would be happy to pitch in for an online account. Tawfiq, maybe you could create a separate post on your blog for this and ask everyone who is willing to contribute to post there. That way we can co-ordinate this and do our bit (albeit very little compared to how much effort you are putting in) to preserve these recordings.

  13. Dear Abhiram,
this is no longer actual as I upgradet my ADrive account and downloads should be available now forever, or at least as long as I pay for it.
If you mean that you want to contribute recordings you are very welcome to do this. But be aware that there shoudl be - if possible - also flac or wave format files available and there should be scans of the original source: either LP or cassette. Please be also aware that this blog is quite personal: it reflects the music I personally like and find great. So any contributions will be posted only if I personally find the music great. As you might have noticed I left out quite a number of well-known artists, mostly for the reason that I find their music not so great or that they are not doing such a great service to the music. For further discussion please give me your email adress.
    Thanks

  14. I'm afraid flac files doesn't work, what a shame !

  15. It works perfectly. Just downloaded it myself and no problem at all. The problem must be on your side.

  16. Thnks for answering. I meant I can't play the files. They stop working after some minutes.

  17. Just downloaded the flac files again and they play perfectly. The problem has to be on your side. Download again and see if the size of the file is exactly as it is supposed to be. The Zip folder should have 304 MB. Sometimes providers cut downloads before completed.
Yesterday I tried to download one file and had to do it about 10 times till I got a complete file.
