Thank you for sharing such wonderful music. I would like to share with you this concert of Vilayat Khan with Nikhil Gros on tabla from February 2, 1958 in France given at the Musée Guimet. I do not believe it has been published.
The mp3s were sourced from the CREM archives, a French ethnomusicology organization. There is also a stream of a Dagar Brothers concert from 1964, also given at the Musee Guimet.
Wonderful. Thank you sooooooooooo much for sharing this, also the recording of the concert by the Senior Dagars. Wonderful recordings. Vilayat Khan accompanied by the great Nikhil Ghosh, father of Dhruba Ghosh and Nayan Ghosh. Excellent.
In Ustad Imrat Khan's home in St Louis, he has, as I recall, a poster sized print of this album cover up on the wall in his living room. Thanks for sharing!
