I keep coming back to this LP and carry it around with me almost all day long on my iPhone. It sits there together with several dozen other transfers I have downloaded from this blog.
There is something charming about the sheer beauty of the sound of the instrument coupled with Ustad Munir Khan's understated style. Rather than trying to over power me with his greatness he seems to be just suggesting that I notice it.
I'm curious about how a label called "Munich Records" is based in the Netherlands. They certainly have a large catalog -- Discogs lists almost 600 releases!
Munir Khan is a great sarangi player!
