  5. Dear Alan,
me too was looking for ages for this LP. On the internet one can find quite easily this LP at sometimes good prices. So finally I bought one recently. But I'm looking for 1 or 2 other LPs which I can't find at all: Indraneel Bhattacharya, one LP published in UK with Latif Ahmed Khan on Tabla, another one published by EMI India. Do you have one of these or do you know someone who has them?

  7. Re Indranil Bhattacharya I'm afraid not. I've seen very little by him at all. I know of the Aashsh Khan duet, and have a couple of loos mp3 tracks.
Also I know of a CD "Ripples" by Bihaan Music, "Smaran" with Anindo C, by Legendary Legacy, both of course Indian companies.

  8. Dear Ragamala,
thank you. Would be interested to know what the loose tracks are. The Duets with Aashish Khan I have both: the one from Navras & the one from Chhanda Dhara. The 2 Indian CDs I also have. They can be obtained from: info@raga-maqam-dastgah.com

  9. The tracks are a short 6 min Khamaj in Keharwa, and a Puriya Dhanashri in rupak at just under 10 minutes. The P.D. came labelled as being with Zakir. Playing the Khamaj the tag says Indraneel w Zakir.
I can't guarantee anything about authenticity, I probably haven't listened since I d/led them 9 years ago. Until now. Very good. Except the Khamaj has some (non-vinyl) clicks.
Say the word and I can share them.

  10. Ah I have found the origin of these 2 tracks - they are from a compilation 4 album set Zakir Hussain & the maestros - the versatile genius (1999). What the original source of these is I wouldn't know.
