I have to check. They are from the collection of a friend. I don't know if he has the original records or just copies from other collectors. They are on two different privately made CDs which have other material as well: a double CD of old singers of the Gwalior Gharana, one CD containing the LP from 1967 of Vinayakrao & Narayanrao plus some 78rpms & EPs by both singers, I guess. My first stop will be to ask Jonathon Ward of the wonderful blog "Excavated Shellac" and then Robert Millis might have some as well.

If I can manage to get anything at all I will let you know. I wonder if the gentleman who donated these recordings to EMI has any more (or more probably, whether his family/estate might have some more).
.thanks so much for the great music Tawfiq!Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13852927085614143833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951570112842053779.post-25392277946529211062016-08-05T09:24:12.434+02:002016-08-05T09:24:12.434+02:00Thanks. As far as I know he had only one LP during his lifetime, together with the other great singer of the Gwalior Gharana of that time: Narayanrao Vyas, but many 78 rpm records. I have the music of that LP, but unfortunately not the LP itself.Tawfiqhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00332824027946814674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951570112842053779.post-14715109150011822232016-08-05T07:37:27.949+02:002016-08-05T07:37:27.949+02:00Thank you for this!

It appears he did not have a discography which was on a par with his abilities.

I look forward to listening to this LP over the next week.Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13852927085614143833noreply@blogger.com
