Mohammad Reza Shajarian - Concert Paris September 1995 - Mahour & Dashti - Cassette published for 1995 tour

Beautiful cassette of a concert by the great master of Avaz Ostad Mohammad Reza Shajarian with Parviz Meshkatian (1955-2009) on Santur and his son Homayoun Shajarian on Tombak. The cassette was produced to be sold at the 1995 tour of the musicians. I bought it at their concert in Bonn. As always, the concert was very impressive and intense. This cassette was never republished on CD.

About the artists see:

Shajarian has his own label in Iran named Delawaz (see first link above), on which he published over 30 CDs, all very traditional, except for 3 or 4 with symphonic orchestra.
These albums can be obtained from: info@raga-maqam-dastgah.com You can request a list from them.

Thanks for the rare cassette.

Speaking of rare, I've been trying to track down anything by Ahmad Ashourpoor that is of better quality than what's on youtube, so I'm starting to ask around and see if it's out there. I really like his stuff, but I'm told it's fairly obscure compared to most other Iranian artists... Any ideas?

Thanks a lot, Tawfiq - as always. It seems I missed that Bonn concert, even though I was living at Bonn that time. I must have been travelling then.

Is this copyrighted material?

Why do you ask? It doesn't look like it. It never was published later again, just produced and sold at the concerts of that tour. As you can see there is nowhere on the inlay a copyright sign. I hope you don't want to offer it as a commercial download as happened already quite a couple of times with my posts.

But it might be that Théatre de la Ville of Paris owns a copyright as the concert - as far as I know - took place there.

I ask because I don't want to download copyrighted material. Thanks for the response!
